Welcome to HomeHero AI. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Anonymous User Data

We assign each device a random anonymous user ID to enable contextual replies and maintain user experience across sessions. This ID is not linked to any personal information, location, or device identifier.

b. Chat Interactions

Your questions and responses are processed via OpenAI's GPT APIs. These interactions may be visible in our OpenAI dashboard for model usage monitoring. However, no personally identifying information is transmitted with any requests.

c. Local Data Storage

Your chat history is stored locally on your device for your convenience. You may delete this history at any time via the Clear Chat History option in the app settings.

2. What We Don't Collect

  • ❌ No contacts, camera access (for now), or background data
  • ❌ No third-party ad tracking or analytics tools

3. Third-Party Services

We currently do not integrate with third-party analytics or crash reporting tools. All app usage data available to us is limited to high-level summaries provided by the App Store and Google Play Developer platforms.

The App uses OpenAI's GPT-4o and GPT-4o Mini APIs for AI-powered assistance. These services receive your prompts for processing and may temporarily retain anonymized interaction data per their privacy policy.

4. Data Security

We protect all data transmissions using secure protocols. No chat data is stored on external servers owned by HomeHero AI. All chat logs remain on your device only, unless processed transiently by OpenAI for response generation.

5. Data Deletion

You may delete all local data stored by the app by using the Clear Chat History function. This removes all stored interactions and resets your anonymous user session.

6. Children’s Privacy

HomeHero AI is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has used our App in violation of this policy, please contact us immediately.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are made will indicate your acceptance of the revised policy.
